Dear Fellow Patriots and Friends,
 CALL TO ACTION:Â
STOP High Density Housing in Your Neighborhood.
Contact your House Representatives BEFORE Wednesday,
5.13.26, End of Day.  Â
WHY: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
There is a hearing on Thursday, 5.14.26 for House Bills that will deprive your local communities of their rights to set zoning laws. Â Â
Here is what is at risk, these House Bills have been summarized by Rescue Michigan (thank you):Â Â
FORCE local governments to allow mobile homes in any residential neighborhood Â
ELIMINATE setbacks, so your neighbor can build right to your property line Â
MANDATE houses as small as 500 square feet be permitted to be built anywhere Â
OVERRULE lot requirements to allow lots as small as 1500 square feet anywhere public water and sewer are usedÂ
and much more... Â
HOW to Take Action:Â
Use the Easy-to-Click link provided by Rescue Michigan to:Â SIGN THE PETITION
Tell your lawmakers to vote NO! Here is a sample letter provided by Rescue Michigan

SIGN THE PETITION:Tell your lawmakers to vote NO! Right now, if a community thinks dense development is warranted, they certainly can approve it. If they want to approve a mobile home park or duplexes, they can. But these bills strip out local control and would require every city, township, and village – your own – to approve a massive increase in traffic and new units, even over the objection of every single resident.Â
This is WRONG, and you can help stop it. Sign the petition right now to let your legislators know how misguided this is! Your petition will be delivered to Speaker Matt Hall and members of the Government Operations Committee before the hearing this Thursday. That's right: They want to get this legislation passed before their summer vacation. It could pass committee as soon as this week – unless you speak up and get them to reconsider.
For almost a hundred years, families could buy homes in nice neighborhoods and rely on the fact that their local government would protect their investment. But if special interests have their way, kiss local control goodbye.Even though the Michigan Townships Association, the Michigan Municipal League, and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, groups that consist of YOUR locally-elected officials, all oppose this legislation, House Republicans are pushing these bills forward.
Thanks for all you do for Liberty,
Adam de Angeli, President
